To see venue maps, to find out how to make your account private, to manage your profile, and to get the most out of Sched, please click on the Information link below. Adding a session to your schedule in Sched does not guarantee you a spot in the room. Most sessions are first come, first served, there is no waitlist. On Sched you can add multiple sessions to your schedule that are at the same time. A session that is "POPULAR!" is on many attendee schedules and could be full. If a session requires pre-registration it will indicate this in the description and will provide details for how to pre-register.
With thousands of children’s books being published each year, it can be overwhelming for teachers to select which ones hold the most potential to inspire students towards a lifetime of reading pleasure and purpose. This session will focus on the power of read alouds and quality picture books to create a class bond; promote a love of reading; preview information, themes, or text structures; model effective reading; learn social lessons. You will be able to preview over 30 newly published, quality picture books and leave with ready to use lesson plans.
